FECHA
Saint Of The Day:

Anne Sullivan

Anne Sullivan was the teacher who "worked miracles" with Helen Adams Keller, who was left blind, deaf and mute by an illness suffered at the age of 19 months, but went on to become a famous American author and lecturer, despite her handicaps. Movie audiences were thrilled by the story, "Miracle Worker," starring Anne Bancroft, who put in an Academy Award-winning performance as Anne Sullivan. Miss Sullivan, who lived from 1866 to 1936, was Keller's teacher (from 1887) and constant companion.

MODEL: Anne Sullivan's patience. One of the hardest things to do is be patient with people who are handicapped. They're trying. You know they're trying. But they're so slooooow. Best thing to do: put yourself in their shoes, and ask how you'd like to be treated.

Your Birthday Today:

April 15
Day of Traditions
Aries

Pros
Socially conscious, Influential, Effective

Cons
Restrained, Dissatisfied, Tyrannical

Your place. If you were born on April 14, you have a great sense of tradition, history and how you fit into it. You may elevate to a position of authority. It's not that you have great leadership abilities, but rather a strong presence that causes others to respect you. Ruled by the number 5 and the planet Mercury, you sometimes grow dissatisfied, even when nothing is wrong.

Conservative rebel? Your knowledge of history helps you find your place in current times. You know how your profession has progressed through time and what the future may hold. You don't value change for change's sake; actually, you're conservative. Even if you are a rebellious type, your motives are grounded in traditional values.

Supreme rule. April 14 men are exciting and fun to be with but may exert too much control over the people around them. Women born on April 14 have a strong feeling for family, though they may not exactly be Donna Reed in the kitchen. They want their loved ones to understand their need for a career, yet still bow to their rule at home. Indeed, both sexes can become quite tyrannical in their working and family worlds.

Stability. Perhaps your compulsion for control stems from a need to live and work in a stable environment. You must have both feet on the ground to be productive, and work best when you can do one thing at a time in a methodical manner.

Some advice: Tradition can sometimes be a rut in which you get stuck. Break out. Take some chances. All good things must come to an end or evolve.
