FECHA
Saint Of The Day:
Father Eusebio Francisco Kino

Father Eusebio Francisco Kino was called "the padre on horseback" for his work as a missionary to the Pima Indians and a cartographer in Mexico and Arizona from 1681, when he came to Mexico from Spain, until his death in 1711. A Jesuit, he brought learning as well as faith to the Indians. He introduced cattle to the region (founding 19 ranches) and pioneered in planting wheat and other European foods at his 24 missions. Tourists still flock to the mission of San Xavier del Bac near Tucson.

MODEL: Like Einstein, Kino had great reverence for both science and religion, which he saw as twin windows on the reality that God has given to us all.

Your Birthday Today:

March 15

Day of the Rising Star
Pisces

Pros
Determined, Appealing, Enthusiastic

Cons
Envious, Combatant, Impulsive

A climber. If you were born on March 15, you feel compelled to climb to the highest heights in your professional or social life. Ruled by the number 6 and the planet Venus, you have great charm but sometimes hang out with questionable characters.

Your path to the top. You are a natural leader and people like to follow you. If you move through the ranks with honest hard work, you'll receive much support. But if your ascent is too brash and nasty, you can meet great resistance. You're not always happy to claw your way through the ranks, so you may start new projects with you as the central figure from day one. Once you have made the commitment, establishing a family or business comes easy to you.

To great heights, literally. Many of you March 15 types are attracted to daring deeds of elevation such as hang gliding, aviation, diving, rock climbing, or other mountainous endeavors. Some March 15 people, however, may actually have a fear of heights stemming from childhood pressures to not surpass their parents. Thus, it is more a fear of success, a fear of making their parents look bad.

Beware the cliffs. Be careful that you don't rush into ambition without a clearly defined goal. Enthusiasm is great , but you should know that fate is watching over you and can radically change the course of events. You can prepare for the unexpected by strengthening your skills, confidence and flexibility.

Some advice: It's OK to strive for more, but also try to enjoy yourself where you are. Don't lose yourself in a selfish power trip. Kindness and generosity has great paybacks. Cast off any unspoken contracts with your parents. Talk it over with them.
